The Beacon

PROVIDING ESSENTIAL AND NEXT-STEP SERVICES TO RESTORE HOPE AND HELP END HOMELESSNESS IN HOUSTON

What is The Beacon?

The Beacon is a non-profit organization that serves the Houston homeless community through daily services, civil legal aid, counseling and mentoring and access to housing. Our mission is to provide essential and next-step services to restore hope and help end homelessness in Houston.

Registration

We have to give The Beacon numbers a week prior to going so they can schedule accordingly. Please be sure to sign up or cancel before then!

We will going on Saturday, September 10th.

What to wear:

When volunteering at The Beacon, we request that all of our volunteers dress in modest attire. We ask that all volunteers wear pants, closed-toed shoes, and non-revealing clothing. An example of this would be athletic shoes, jeans and a t-shirt. Because we work around industrial equipment, please refrain from wearing “short” shorts, tank tops, flip flops, and any other article of clothing that may be considered a work/health hazard.

Parking is FREE to Beacon volunteers on the day of their volunteer shift. Please park in the Episcopal Diocese’s parking garage located at Christ Church Cathedral Garage
